Crescendo Carbon has participated and/or brokered afforestation projects in China, cook stoves in Africa but we are proudest of our Mekong Delta River Safe Water Supply Project in Vietnam. Generating 11,100,000 VERs in a 10 year crediting period, this project encompasses donating 600,000 water purifiers to needy households in the Mekong Delta River.

In Vietnam, over 50% of rural households depend on rain, rivers, wells, etc as a water source. Despite boiling, illness from drinking contaminated water is rampant and a leading cause of death for children under five years old. It is also because of the above information that resulted in Crescendo Carbon championing this project. Since December 2021, water purifiers with ceramic cores have been distributed in partnership with a local socio-political organisation and the distribution is slated to complete by September 2022.
